Poetic Realism: Serenity, Light and Nature
Often when I am painting the natural world the spirit or energy behind nature seems to guide my hand. It is in these moments that I intuitively and spontaneously allow the brushstrokes to flow. Then the light that suffuses the natural world seems to come to live on the surface of my canvas and a moment in time is captured. This combination of nature's reality and my imagination creates in my art a poetic realism.
